The Challenge

Sight Seeker's Delight is one of Trip Advisor's top-rated Paris tour companies. But with a difficult-to-navigate tour booking experience, an outdated structure, and an overwhelming amount of content, it was time to make sightseekersdelight.com a reflection of the outstanding in-person experience they offer travelers from around the world.

We needed to bring out the personal touch that differentiates this independently-owned tour company while maintaining a professional brand experience positioning it as a competitor with larger European tour giants.

My Role & Collaboration

Collaboration

With a small budget for an ambitious project, I strategically managed our time allocation by delegating parts of the project to the client and an outside vendor.

• I would take on the majority of the work: defining functional requirements, creating page layouts, customizing code where needed, and revamping the look, feel, and copywriting to bring out the best in the brand

• I would use some of my hours to teach design and coding to the client's site manager, Claire, so that we could work on the site as a team whenever my hours were beginning to push scope.

• My friend and whiz developer Sarah Holden would bring in the big guns when it came to critical programming tasks like setting up our local, staging, and production environments and making sure our domain was secure. Calling on her experience made our launch more efficient.
